Ashton Rooney and Lamar Graham at Spanish Linguistics in the Southeast 2025

Ashton Rooney (MA 2024, PhD student in Romance Studies, Hispanic Linguistics concentration) and Lamar Graham (UNC Romance Studies) gave talks at this year’s Spanish Linguistics in the Southeast conference, hosted at East Carolina University. Ashton presented “The prosodic rhythm of Yucatec Maya and Yucatecan Spanish” and Lamar presented “Morphosyntactic variation in Galician-Portuguese future and conditional clitic placement and contrasts with Old Spanish.”
