Graduation Reception
Every May, the Department of Linguistics holds a graduation reception and recognition ceremony. It’s a chance for us to congratulate and honor our graduates, and meet their friends and family.
Specific information about each year’s reception will be sent to graduating seniors by email, and posted on this web site, by mid-April.
2021 Reception Information
In May 2021, we will celebrate and congratulate our graduates with an online graduation reception, to be held Friday, May 14, 3:00-4:00pm.
At the reception, we will share a slideshow with photos of our graduates and recognize each graduate’s achievements — participating in the slideshow is optional, and you are welcome to submit a photo even if you can’t attend the reception.
- Graduates, please RSVP here by Thursday, May 13 to submit information for the ceremony or upload your photo for the slideshow.

Graduating seniors are also welcome to share a quote, a memory, or a thought for the 2021 Seniors’ Quotes Wall on the LING Department web site. Submit your quotes and memories here by Wednesday, May 12 to have them included when the page goes live on Friday, May 14. (Visit the 2020 Seniors’ Quotes Wall for inspiration.)
